The primary purpose of MAGS Indoor Shooting Range  is to provide a safe and legal environment for new and experienced shooters to enjoy the art of target shooting.  The range provides an indoor environment that can be used year-round regardless of weather conditions. For your convenience, we have listed the rules and regulations along with our safety video for your viewing.  If you have any questions, please contact one of our range officers at 505-338-2222, or email us here.

Range Rules

  1. This is a “cold” range. No loaded firearms allowed unless “on-duty” law enforcement.
  2. All firearms should be carried in a case or have cylinder or action open.
  3. All personally owned firearms and ammo must be inspected by a range officer prior to use.
  4. No holstered firearms allowed, see range officer for exceptions.
  5. Persons under the age of 17 must be accompanied by their parents or guardian.
  6. The “CARDINAL RULES” of gun safety will be enforced at all times.
    1. All guns should be considered as loaded.
    2. Always point the gun in a safe direction.
    3. Keep your finger off the trigger until on-target
    4. Be aware of target and backstop.
  7. Eye and ear protection are mandatory on the firing lanes. Long pants and closed toe shoes are recommended.
  8. No more than two persons per lane without range officer’s approval.
  9. No black powder firearms allowed.
  10. Keep firearms pointed down-range at all times.
  11. No handling of firearms behind the firing lane.
  12. Do not move firearms between lanes – change shooters, not guns.
  13. No eating, drinking, or smoking on firing lanes.
  14. In case of malfunction, leave firearm in booth and notify range officer immediately.
  15. Emergency cease fire is called when down range lights are turned off.
  16. Misfired, dud or faulty ammo may be disposed of in marked receptacles.
  17. Lead is a toxic substance, hand washing after shooting is recommended.
  18. Any person with a medical condition that may pose a hazard e.g.: epilepsy, Parkinson’s, etc. must notify the range officer prior to shooting.
  19. For the safety and security of all persons, MAGS Indoor Shooting Range reserves the right to refuse service and to remove anyone from the property for any reason including:
    1. Violating any of the range rules.
    2. Suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

NOTICE: DUE TO POTENTIAL LEAD EXPOSURE, USING OUR FACILITIES DURING PREGNANCY IS NOT RECOMMENDED. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FOR ADVICE.

MAGS RULES HAVE BEEN CREATED FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY. VIOLATION OF THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE FACILITY. PLEASE CONTACT MAGS WITH ANY QUESTIONS AT 505-338-2222.
